For the upcoming 2009 season, they have redesigned the roads. They'll use the red "W" cap both home and road and the jersey now has a red cursive script using the Walgreens "W".

I would have much rather seen the DC logo like they have on the sleeves as their hat. This hat would go great with a scripted font like Kansas City, or the old 87 White Sox jerseys.

I agree about the hat. A block logo would look a ot better. It's not that I hate the "W", it just doesn't coordinate with the rest of their look. The letters & numbers are block and the cursive "W" just looks off.

Were the "W" on the cap more classic looking or block style, I'd actually like these road uniforms. These I prefer far better than the all red home set. The sleeve patch is also a plus for these road uniforms. It's too bad the cap didn't use the interlocking "DC" logo instead of the Walgreen's "W". Were this team to disappear tomorrow, I wonder how many people would notice or even care.
