The new logo (this is the old one) is much better because it contains the profile of a Kangaroo, leaving no doubt as to what type of animal is depicted. Honestly, if you looked at this logo, without any clues, would you know that it was a kangaroo? There are no kangaroos in Kansas or anywhere else in the US so, without the distinctive tail and legs, I'd guess that most Americans wouldn't have any idea what this thing is.
