Canadian Hockey League Logos CHL Memorial Cup (1918/19-Pres)

The Memorial Cup is the annual championship trophy of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), awarded to the major junior ice hockey team that wins the season-ending round-robin tournament which encompasses the playoff champions of the three major junior hockey leagues: the Western Hockey League (WHL), Ontario Hockey League (OHL), and Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) as well as the host of the tournament. Established in 1919, the Memorial Cup is one of the oldest trophies in North American sports, and it was originally dedicated to the memory of Canadian soldiers who died in World War I. It has since grown to honour all Canadian military.
