SKA Saint Petersburg (Хоккейный клуб СКА) or Hockey Club SKA play their games at the Ice Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia. They joined the KHL in 2008 for the inaugural season of the league but were originally founded in 1946, adopting their current name SKA (Sportivnyi Klub Armii - Sport Club of the Army) in 1959. The team nickname in English are the Soldiers or the Horses.
