The Detroit Tigers cap logo, first worn in 1947 and on through the end of the 1957 season, was the first in club history to present the Olde English style D in orange. The cap was navy blue with a blue visor and orange button with the D on the front in orange. Worn exclusively at home from 1947 to 1951 before worn for all Tigers games from 1952 to 1957. Replaced with a white D in 1958, the Tigers would return to orange 14 years later in 1972.
