The Cincinnati Bengals introduced a modern new look in 1997 when they developed and released their first true primary logo since their shift to the NFL. The logo showed the head of a bengal tiger in orange with black and white striping with a fierce look on its face. Following the 2003 season this logo was reclassified as an alternate logo and continued to be used by the Bengals, with a colour tweak happening following the 2020 season.
