What's the story of the Samsung Lions name and logos?

The Samsung Lions 삼성 라이온즈 마크, a member of the KBO League since the inception of the league in 1982, play in the City of Daegu at Daegu Samsung Lions Park. The Lions have won eight Korean Series championships including a run of four consecutive titles from 2011-2014. The team is owned by Cheil Worldwide, a subsidiary of the Korean company Samsung.
