The Miami Dolphins helmet logo from 1990 to 1996 is a slightly recoloured version of what they had used since 1980. The aqua dolphin wearing a football helmet with an M on it continued to leap in front of an orange sunburst, but the shades of all the colours were darkened considerably before the 1990 season.
