What is this Baltimore Ravens Logo?
Following a legal issue with their original logo, the Baltimore Ravens announced they would wear their secondary BR shield logo on their helmet beginning with the 1999 season. After fans reacted negatively, the Ravens conducted a poll in the Baltimore Sun to choose one of three logos to appear on the helmet. The side-profile raven logo placed first, while this shield ended up in third. The team followed the poll results and introduced a cleaned-up version of the raven profile in time for the start of the 1999 season.
