Kansas City Chiefs Logo

Primary Logo (1970-1971)

What is the Kansas City Chiefs Logo?

When the Kansas City Chiefs first joined the NFL in 1970, they carried over the logo they used during their last year in the AFL, featuring an interlocked KC in red with a black drop shadow on a white arrowhead trimmed in black and white. The Chiefs logo changed slightly in 1972, most notably on the letter C. While the Chiefs changed their primary logo in 1972, the helmet logo was left alone, and have continued to have this slight difference between their primary and helmet logos for over 50 years.
