What is this Ottawa Senators Logo?
Worn on the shoulders of their home and road uniforms, the Ottawa Senators secondary logo features the letter S in white trimmed in red inside a black and gold circle. Inside the gold are black laurel leaves with EST. MDCCCXCIV. This is the Roman Numeral for 1894, the first season that the team which became the original Ottawa Senators team started play. This design is nearly identical to the alternate logo the club used in their expansion 1993 season but the shade of gold has changed as well as the colour of the spikes to the right, originally black and red, now black and gold.
