What is this Penn Quakers Logo?
University of Pennsylvania Coat-of-Arms used to represent Penn athletics until the 1980s. This was approved in 1932 and adopted in 1933. The arms memorialize two important influences in the founding of the University, Benjamin Franklin and the Penn family. The heraldic description is as follows: In the chief, gules, two open books and a dolphin, argent; in the ground, argent, a chevron, azure, with three plates, argent.
