What is this World Series Logo?
The 1994 World Series was cancelled due to a player's strike. The logo, prepared in advance, continued the templated design that had been in use since 1992. The design again contained the "World Series" scripted wordmark in gold trimmed in blue with a drop shadow. This is placed upon a green globe with latitude and longitude lines in blue on a red diamond trimmed in blue and gold. The year 1994 is in blue on a white ribbon across the top of the diamond. The World Series would go on to use this template for each of its annual World Series logos through to 1997.
