The original Miami Dolphins helmet was first used from 1966-67 and then brought back for 1969 through their move to the NFL until being replaced midway through the 1973 season. A white shell with a grey facemask and a teal, white, orange striping pattern down the middle. The logo featured an aqua dolphin wearing an orange M football helmet leaping in front of an orange sunburst. The Dolphins moved the dolphin higher in 1968 and again in 1973 above the top of the sun.
