What is this Washington Capitals Logo?

The Washington Capitals 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs logo features the Caps alternate logo of an eagle in the shape of a W on a red shield with STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS written above in silver and 2020 below in white. A depiction of the top-half of the Stanley Cup can be seen above the shield. This logo is used by the Capitals on various materials throughout their participation in the 2020 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

More Information on This Logo

This logo follows a template that has been applied across all NHL teams to advance past the 2020 Stanley Cup Qualifiers round and into the traditional first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The same logo is used for all these clubs with the colour of the shield and the team logo swapped out as necessary.
