What is this MLB World Series Logo?
The 2006 World Series logo shows a stylized globe, split in red and light blue to represent the AL and NL. The MLB logo is placed upon this globe with the year in silver on either side. The globe is inside a rounded rectangle with the name of the event above and below it in blue. The St Louis Cardinals defeated the Detroit Tigers to win their first World Series in 25 seasons.
