What is this Baltimore Orioles Logo?

The Baltimore Orioles made a minor change to their logo for the 1998 season. The baseball diamond and scripted Orioles wordmark all carried over from 1997, but the oriole bird itself was given a more realistic appearance. This version would only last a single season, in 1999 the Orioles updated the bird once again and eliminated second base from the ball diamond.
