The Chicago White Sox 1980s logo, first adopted in 1976 shows a blue baseball player wearing a helmet and holding a bat above SOX in blue with CHICAGO WHITE SOX below that in red with lines separating the city from the name. The White Sox would adjust the shade of blue used in this logo three times before finally replacing it following the 1990 season.
