The Detroit Tigers home jersey logo during the 1960 season showed Tigers scripted in navy blue worn across a home white jersey. This was the only season since 1931 in which the Tigers did not wear an Olde English D on the front of their home jerseys, and the only season in team history that the club wore the name Tigers on their usual home white uniform (The Tigers name, in a different design, was worn on a road jersey for one season in 1928)
Notable Players of this era: Al Kaline, Jim Bunning
