Block UNCC institutional logo introduced in about 1969. Charlotte College became University of North Carolina Charlotte in 1965. The logo was designed by renowned artist Joe Sonderman, who also designed the logo for the city of Charlotte and later, the first UNC Charlotte crown logo. Sonderman`s block UNCC logo is a single bold shape turned in three directions. Can be seen on uniforms & program covers. Not the official version.
