The Philadelphia Phillies went through a modernization in 1970 as they moved into the new Veterans Stadium. Their new cap featured a new white P logo with a baseball inside the counter on a red crown with a white button. The team darkened the red to crimson red in 1975 and then again to maroon in 1984.
