Primary Logo (1921-1923)

What is the Philadelphia Athletics Logo?

The Philadelphia Athletics logo of the early 1920s showed a royal blue and white elephant on its hind two legs. The A's wore this logo on the front of their home and road uniform during these three seasons. The A's adopted the elephant as their mascot after being called a White Elephant by rival manager John McGraw.
