Air Force Falcons Logo

Primary Logo (1955-1956)

What is the Air Force Falcons Logo?

Flying falcon in multiple shades of blue with two lightning bolts clutched in its claws on light blue circle wrapped with arched text of AIR FORCE ACADMY and five stars all on another circle in white. Members of the Class of 1959, the first to enter the Academy, chose the falcon as the mascot of the cadet wing Sept. 25, 1955, feeling that it best characterized the combat role of the U.S. Air Force.
