What is this Marshall Thundering Herd Helmet?
White football helmet with a bison above MU logo in green, gray 2-bar facemask, and green/white/black stripes. This design was only worn during the 1971 to represent the Young Thundering Herd football team. The name derives from a roster full of freshmen & young players due to the 1970 plane crash that unfortunately killed most of the coaches and players.
