A blue vest with light blue undershirt and this wordmark across the front was part of the new Toronto Blue Jays logo and uniform unveiling for the 1997 season in November of 1996, the uniform was shown to be worn with the standard all blue Jays cap. A light blue split style number was to the lower (players) left, the Blue Jays primary logo on the light blue sleeve of the undershirt. For reasons unknown this jersey, originally meant to be a home alternate uniform, was never worn, instead the road alternate -- an all blue (not sleeveless) with TORONTO across the front in red, was worn as both a home and road alternate.
