In April 2018, The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department completed work with Nike\'s Graphic Identity Group (GIG) to refresh the department\'s marks in advance of the switch to the Jordan Brand for the sports of football and men\'s and women\'s basketball. It also made a slight streamlining alteration to the interlocking OU mark to improve its symmetry. Shade of Crimson was unchanged.
