What is the Sam Houston State Bearkats Logo?
A strutting bearkat wearing a sailor hat with STC letters and a sweater with block T, shown in orange & white. From 1923 through 1965, the school was known as Sam Houston State Teachers College (SHSTC). Years of use likely differ and not the official version. A similar version of this was worn on their football helmets in the 1970s but with SH letters on the sweater instead of T.
