As part of their rebranding efforts in April 2020, the Sam Houston State Bearkats released this updated depiction of the school mascot of Sammy Bearkat strutting featuring a sailor hat & white sweater with the Primary SH Paw mark throwing back to the designs used in the 1950s and 1960s.
