What is this St. Josephs Hawks Logo?
Some time in the early 1960s, the mens basketball team was struggling in their regular tilt against the rival school on Lancaster Avenue. Since the Big 5 had formed, the Hawks dominated each year against the Wildcats. The win for Villanova inspired one of their students to exclaim, The Hawk is dead! A Saint Josephs fan quickly retored with, The Hawk Will Never Die! The rally cry was incorporated into the athletics brand before the 2020-21 school year.
