What is this St. Josephs Hawks Logo?
Sometime in the early 1960s, the men`s basketball team was struggling in their regular tilt against the rival school on Lancaster Avenue. Since the Big 5 had formed, the Hawks dominated each year against the Wildcats. The win for Villanova inspired one of their students to exclaim, The Hawk is dead! A Saint Joseph`s fan quickly retorted with `The Hawk Will Never Die!` The rally cry was incorporated into the athletics brand before the 2020-21 school year.
