Toledo Rockets Logo

Primary Logo (1968-1995)

What is the Toledo Rockets Logo?

Real-life looking rocket with motion lions pointed to the upper right. Can be found with parts filled in gold and with a white outline for dark backgrounds. In 1961, The University of Toledo procured a genuine rocket from the U.S. Army. The one-ton rocket resides at the northeast corner of the Glass Bowl (football stadium) and is pointed 25 miles south toward Bowling Green State University, a rival of UT. The design of the logo matches that rocket on campus.
