What is the Wyoming Cowboys Logo?
Primary Bucking Horse & Rider logo in brown. Steamboat (the bucking horse and rider) was first used by the university in 1921. Many versions exist of this logo spanning seven decades, this variation. Originally used on athletic uniforms, Steamboat evokes the tradition, pride and spirit of UW and the state. Steamboat is owned by the State of Wyoming and licensed to the university for its related uses.
