Logo was designed by Major League Baseball, the Blue Jays asked for elements from prior anniversary logos in club history to be incorporated - these included the team logo, a baseball, and a maple leaf. The logo came back with all of those elements except instead of a maple leaf there was a star at the top of the logo. The Blue Jays were happy with the design and simply replaced the star with a maple leaf.
