On Sunday October 9th 2011, to usher in a new generation of Winnipeg Jets NHL hockey, the Winnipeg Jets and CBC hosted a day of festivities and celebrations with 'The Family FanZone at The Forks', a day of family-friendly, alcohol-free celebrations including musical entertainment, contests, giveaways and of course, CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada featuring The Winnipeg Jets season-opener.
