Toronto Blue Jays Logo

Cap Logo (1977-1988)

What is this Toronto Blue Jays Logo?

The original Toronto Blue Jays cap logo featured their familiar double-blue Blue Jay bird head logo on a red and white baseball with stitching and a red maple leaf. This logo was worn on the front white panel of an otherwise all-blue cap. For their first dozen seasons, the Blue Jays caps (and caps only) featured a lighter blue on the top part of the bird's head; everything else associated with the team used a turquoise colour for this portion of the logo. This was changed following the 1988 season.

First Worn: April 7, 1977
Notable Players of this era:
Dave Stieb, Fred McGriff, Jimmy Key, David Wells, Phil Niekro
