What is this Winnipeg Whips Logo?
The Winnipeg Whips road jersey logo, used for the second half of their inaugural 1970 season, features a red "W" within an all-blue circle and the team name "whips" below in red serif lettering worn on the upper left side of a powder blue button-up jersey. The overall look of the team was shaped by their owner and MLB affiliate Montreal Expos. The Whips relocated from Buffalo mid-way through the 1970 IL season.
