What is this Los Angeles Kings Logo?
The Los Angeles Kings logo for the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons was a promotion of their third jersey logo used since 2008-09 to primary status. The logo returned the main shape of the design to the pennant, as their first logo was, but now in black and silver with a large LA in white at the top and a crown at the bottom. The Kings won their first Stanley Cup using this logo before they added a black outline to this logo in 2013-14 and then an additional silver outline in 2019-20. It was eventually retired following the 2023-24 season. Despite not wearing purple on their home or road uniform during this period, the Kings considered it one of their main colours because it was still quite prominent on their third uniform.
