Looking to simplify their primary brand, the Los Angeles Kings dropped their coat of arms logo to secondary status and promoted their previous secondary logo. This logo featured just the crown, still purple, black, and silver. The top of the crown featured two crossed hockey sticks as well as two purple suns on either side.
