What is this Kansas City Chiefs Logo?
Upon their relocation from Dallas in 1963, the original Kansas City Chiefs logo featured a modified version of their Texans logo. The cartoon cowboy running across Texas was replaced with a Native American wearing a feathered headdress, holding a tomahawk, and running a football across a map of six Midwestern states: Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Iowa. This logo appeared on AFL publications, Chiefs letterheads, and trading cards during this period.
