Ernie Johnson (1921-2011) was a former pitcher for the Boston and Milwaukee Braves playing for the Braves franchise for 6 seasons between 1950 and 1958. Following his days playing ball, Johnson joined the Braves play-by-play team in 1962 and remained as their main broadcaster through 1999, a span of 37 seasons. The Braves named their broadcasting booth at Turner Field in his honour.
