What is this Auburn Tigers Logo?
Sailor Aubie logo with block A on its sailor hat above AUBURN text. Was discontinued around the time other mascot logos made its debut in the 1980s. Despite the school name being Alabama Polytechnic Institute (API) when Sailor Aubie debuted, the A has always stood for Auburn as the school was also informally known as Auburn until the official name change in 1960.
