Eagle logo in blue with orange outline, dubbed the Weagle or Double Eagle. That design was created in 1976 by Randy Brown. He was a member of the band and studied art. This was his senior project. He wanted to create a secondary logo that could be used for the football team. Doug Barfield took over from Shug Jordan after the 1975 season. Randy took his idea to Doug.
