Ralph Kiner (1922-2014) was a Hall of Fame outfielder primarily for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Following his baseball career Kiner turned to broadcasting and joined the New York Mets play-by-play team for their 1961 inaugural season, a position he held for 53 seasons until his death at the age of 91 in 2014.
