Primary roundel logo featuring Penguin Pete at the center of a roundel with Youngstown State University & Penguins (each in different fonts) in white on red ring. Drawn by Bill Oakley, a member of the varsity soccer team. A slightly different version of this logo (different Penguin) was used at the center of the basketball court.
