What is the New Mexico Lobos Logo?
Right-facing detailed snarling lobo head in silver and black. This also appeared on their football helmets in cherry & black during the 1980 through 1998 seasons, excluding 1988. Logo can be commonly found facing to the left as well.

This logo was featured at center court of The Pit basketball arena during the 1970s and 1980s. It can be seen when New Mexico hosted the 1983 Final Four, which featured one of the most famous games in college basketball history where North Carolina State upset Houston.
