Toronto Blue Jays Logo

Primary Dark Logo (1997-2002)

What is this Toronto Blue Jays Logo?

The Toronto Blue Jays logo used from 1997 to 2002, the first significant change to the Blue Jays logo since their expansion season twenty years prior. The logo continued the use of the double-blue profile of a blue jay bird head on a baseball but significantly upgraded the presence of the maple leaf from small and in the corner to large and behind it all. The team name, in a modernized split-style typeface, is placed below the leaf. This logo was replaced with the T-Bird logo in 2003.

Notable Players of this era: Carlos Delgado, Joe Carter, Jose Canseco, Roy Halladay, David Wells, Roger Clemens, Dave Stieb
