What is this Samford Bulldogs Logo?
Alternate logo of the SAM abbreviation in white with blue & light gray trim and with a red period, all overlapping a larger U in red with blue & white trim. The period places emphasis that the school is SAMford, not STANford. The typography is the same used since 2000. New spirit marks emerged from a nearly yearlong study on branding that the university conducted with the help of Seattle, Washington–based Dartlet Inc. The new spirit marks coincides with the 100th anniversary of the bulldog as the university`s official mascot.
