What is this St. Louis Cardinals Helmet?
The first helmet worn by the St. Louis Football Cardinals upon their move from Chicago in 1960 was a plain white shell with a grey facemask (though in 1960 it was really a facebar than anything). The Cardinals only wore this for the first week of their inaugural St Louis season before adding the cardinal logo decal on the side. The plain white helmet was first worn by the team in Chicago back in 1937 right up through week one of 1960 in St Louis.
