Primary Logo (2010-2011)

What is the Pacific-10 Conference Logo?

Primary Shield logo. The shield shape conveys excellence in academics and athletics. The typography is handcrafted to reflect a modern edge, west coast feel and to ensure legibility from a distance. The wave evokes a sense of movement, while the mountain represents rising. Both elements conjure up an image of the west. The blue gradient in the mark is designed to suggest the deep underwater blues of the Pacific Ocean. Shortly after this logo`s debut, it was announced the conference would become the Pac-12 Conference in 2011 with two new members. The 10 in the shield would be changed to 12 in a new font.
