The Toronto Blue Jays original logo introduced for their 1977 expansion season and worn for two World Series championships. The logo featured a double-blue side profile of a blue jay bird head on a red baseball and a maple leaf symbolizing Canada to the side. The team name in blue split-style lettering surrounds it. A minor update was made to this logo circa 1993-94 as part of the digitization of MLB graphics.
Unveiled on Friday, October 8, 1976
