The Philadelphia Flyers classic logo received a subtle update upon the turn of the millennium. The design of a black P with wings and an orange hockey puck in the middle was retained, but the shade of orange was darkened slightly, part of the NHL shift to less variance in colour shades used across the league. The Flyers made another change to their orange two decades later for the 2023-24 season.
